National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER)
The National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER), in Gainesville, Florida is a non-profit education foundation, Affiliated with the University of Florida, created to help address the critical workforce shortage facing the construction industry and to develop industry-driven standardized craft training programs with portable credentials. NCCER's mission is to build a safe, productive, and sustainable workforce of craft professionals.
Through the NCCER credentials, ATS trainees learn curricula which allow the students to be Nationally Certified by NCCER and receive credentials from NCCER.
All ATS instructors credentials are by NCCER. This certification requires the instructors to complete the NCCER Instructor Credentialing Training Program (ICTP) and follow all NCCER accreditation standards when teaching NCCER curricula. All ATS schools also employ a NCCER Master Trainer who has received additional training and credentials from NCCER.
Crane Operator Training & Certification
ATS crane operator training and certification teaches people how operate fixed cab and swing cab mobile hydraulic cranes, lattice boom cranes, and articulated boom (knuckleboom) cranes. Trainees in these programs are prepared for and tested on the written and practical exams for certification through the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). The NCCCO crane operator certification is one of the most widely recognized crane operator certifications in the crane operator industry. ATS is approved by the NCCCO as a test site for both the NCCCO written and NCCCO practical exams.
This training can take place at an ATS training location or at the employer's location. ATS has crane operation instructors who travel to remote locations for crane training, testing, and certification. These specialized crane training programs can be customized to meet the employer's time and cost requirements.
